What's it like to have a wedding at the Burlington Hotel?

Your wedding day is one of, if not the most important day in both you and your partner's life, so you’ll be forgiven for wanting to ensure that everything is perfect for the big day.

When planning your wedding, one of the first decisions you and your partner will have to make is the venue itself. The location, the size of the venue and your budget are some of the most important considerations to take on board, and as such, are often the most difficult.

Here at the Burlington Hotel, we pride ourselves on providing a wedding venue that you and your guests will love. If you’re in the process of organising your wedding and haven’t yet decided on a venue, then perhaps the Burlington Hotel is the choice for you.

A beautiful seaside location

People are keen to look abroad when it comes to planning their wedding day, with a recent report concluding that the number of couples choosing to have their wedding outside of the UK is on the rise. 

While many choose to go abroad primarily due to the promise of a more attractive destination, this doesn’t mean that you can’t find great locations within the UK. 

Overlooking the Channel, atop the historic clifftop promenade, the Burlington Hotel is the perfect combination of historical brilliance and Kentish seaside charm. Whether you are looking to host a small or large wedding, the Burlington Hotel can host up to 120 guests for your wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for the evening reception.

Support every step of the way

Organising a wedding can be stressful, which is why we are here to support you every step of the way. 

After an initial phone call to collect some basic information regarding your wedding, our highly experienced wedding planner will organise a visit for you and your partner to look at all of the facilities available. During this time, we’ll help establish the vision for your special day - ensuring it meets all of your specific needs.

After everything is confirmed in writing, a deposit is taken. Once this stage of the process is complete, we’ll go away and book the ceremony and any suppliers, if required, giving you peace of mind and more time to focus on preparing for the wedding itself.

Finalising the details

One month prior to the wedding, we’ll invite you to come for a final meeting where we can confirm the details, including guest numbers, menu choices, dietary requirements and the table plan.

It’s understandable to worry about the finer details of the day, which is why we always ensure to follow up with a full detailed plan of the day and a personalised table plan.

Once this is confirmed, and the final balance payment is paid, final details are confirmed with the suppliers so everyone is fully prepped and ready for the special day.

Your special day

On the day of the wedding, both you and your partner will be greeted by our wedding planner individually to reiterate final details. Once the registers are ready, guests will be ushered into the ceremony room before the ceremony begins.

During this time, our team will be hard at work ensuring the food service is ready for you and all of your guests to enjoy afterwards. While we like to take a step back at this point, our wedding planner will be on hand to provide any support should you need it, up until the first dance.
